JM Livestock and C5 Livestock operate together as one family-managed cattle and Boer goat program.

JM Livestock is located near Loyalton in Northern California’s Sierra Valley. We raise beef cattle and Boer goats with an emphasis on sound genetics, functional livestock, responsible care, and youth development.
We operate alongside Jillian’s parents. Jillian manages the daily work and livestock decisions for both operations, including breeding, artificial insemination, calving, kidding, feeding, herd health, and show preparation.
Our daughters, Joey Ann and Jessy, actively own, raise, and exhibit cattle and Boer goats. Ownership varies by animal and is identified throughout the website.
Our Parents’ Brand and Herd History
The C5 Livestock brand belongs to Jillian’s parents and represents the older family cattle operation that JM Livestock works alongside today. Some females in the combined herd are owned by her parents, while others belong to JM Livestock, Joey Ann, or Jessy.
Although ownership varies, the cattle are managed together through shared facilities, breeding decisions, daily care, and long-term planning. Including both brands reflects the true multigenerational structure of the operation.
